I was always the odd one out when I was young, preferring living in libraries and researching, to getting tanned and surfing. I annoyed my Nana with questions about our family tree when I was only 14. I couldn't believe she'd got to her ripe old age without being curious about her past.
After years of doing my own research, attending family history seminars (including those by the bubbly and inspirational genealogist Janet Reakes), studying history for a while at university, but not really progressing fast enough with my research, I had a wake up call. One of my older relatives, who'd offered to help me with the family tree, passed away. I'd been "too busy" to visit. I decided then and there to not waste time again.
I started to use timesaving tips I'd learned as a high-level Executive Assistant (including at the National Film and Sound Archive) and in hectic TV production (should I tell you I worked on Australian Idol for a while?!), and as a freelance writer, to help me get more family tree time. It started to work...
These days, instead of Nana, I get to annoy celebrities and their families with questions about their family trees, as a Freelance Researcher on some episodes of 'Who Do You Think You Are?' (Australia), as well as my equally interesting not so famous research clients. Nana would probably laugh.
I'm here to help you save time and money, have some fun, and help create a priceless legacy for you and your family. And you'll get to learn from my mistakes. So give me a call or send me an email today. As a Researcher, Writer and Family Tree Coach here at my very own Family Tree Time headquarters, my passion is to help you beat the “I’m too busy” blues to start or progress with your family tree research
